Accommodations at Philhaven Wellspan

Philhaven

Tucked away in the lush green hills of Lebanon County lives a Wellspan facility named Philhaven. At Philhaven, you will have the luxury of having your very own room and desk, 24/7 security, 24/7 nursing staff that checks on you every 15 minutes. Just to cover all basis, you are outfitted with a bracelet beacon that allows them to track you, like a dog.

The Staff

The staff is very friendly… to your face, but what you don’t know is they are documenting every negative aspect of your stay there. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see they are trying to baseline people as MONSTERS, that way they can show PROGRESS as they extend your stay there and collect your insurance company’s money. Let’s make no mistake, there are some people that needs the services offered at Philhaven, but even if you don’t, again, they will paint you out to be a MONSTER. Even during your discharge interview, if you make any comments other than answering their pointed questions, they will note it against you in your chart. HELL, even if you CALL them afterwards to tell them about your experience there, they will document that in your chart as well.

Facilities

Departing, you get to see beauty of this facility’s common areas. However, inside the pod, it’s a whole different story. You are confined to a small room and small common area. There is a small tv positioned at breakneck heights. At the end of the pod is a table with bench seating. On the table is typically a cup of crayons for grown-ass adults to color with. This is also how you fill out your menu for the next day’s meals.

Meals

It’s hospital food, it taste like shit. What more did you expect?

Medication

You will be given your medication… well, not necessarily all of them, but the one’s they want to give you. Got a medicine keeping you alive and it needs to be taken in a timely matter???? Don’t worry, they give it to you… at their leisure, whenever they can get their pharmacy to check out your SEALED, LABELED, medicine bottle.

Security

At Philhaven, they take security seriously. Prior to intake, the prisoner, I mean the “patient” has already been stripped down naked and given 3-4 articles of clothing– Paper scrub top, paper scrub bottom, socks and a pair of depends if you want them, at the hospital. You are of course stripped of all your belongings, except your spectacles if you wear them.

Back to Philhaven, they do a comprehensive check during intake to ensure that no contraband is being brought in to the facility. The check is in fact quite thorough and the nurse who performed it did an excellent job, under the feet, between each toe, etc.

Treatment

Treatment can mean a couple things and I’ll touch upon both.

  • treat·ment
    • the manner in which someone behaves toward or deals with someone or something.
    • medical care given to a patient for an illness or injury

The behavioral treatment of staff towards patients is mediocre at best from my observations. Most staff appear reluctant to being there, rarely smiling, no conversing, etc. In hind sight, that’s probably a good thing since they tend to document every negative aspect of you actions or words– NO, THEY CAN NOT TAKE A JOKE!!

Here’s an example, one patient’s meds were bothering them. They kept pleading with “Jen” the nurse, to “please help”, “it hurts”. Jen was dismissive of the pleas from the elderly lady. A few minutes later, another patient came to my door an said something to the effect of “security is gonna come and deal with her, you don’t wanna see this” and shut my door most of the way. Curious, I went to the door to watch. No security came, but it led me to believe that there has been prior incident with this elderly lady and security, and from I gather, it’s disturbing to watch.

Session with Dr. Muhammad S. Khan

Piece of shit Dr Muhammad S KhanNow on to the hot topic, treatment in the form of medical care. The ONLY bit of treatment experienced by me was from the Psychiatrist assigned to me, you guessed it, Dr. Muhammad S. Khan. We had 1 session which was an absolute nightmare and quite a traumatic experience for me. I WILL NEVER FULLY RECOVER FROM IT!!

On Monday, September 8th, 2025, I had a meeting with Philhaven Psychologist Dr. Muhammad S. Khan. Dr. Khan came to my pod, summoned me and we strolled to his office. During the walk, I had complimented him on his shoes are they were similar to a pair I owned. He asked “what”, to which I repeated my compliment, to which he just dismissed it and didn’t acknowledge the compliment.

We step in to his LOCKED office, which also locked behind us. Two grown men in a small locked room, it was reminiscent of USMC bootcamp during combat hitting skills where they put 2 of you in a 3 sided ring and you punch each other in the face as many times as you can until one folds, no escape. I digress.

During the first 3-5 minutes, I noticed that everything I was saying was being transcribed on his computer screen. I then stated that “you can’t record me, that’s illegal”, to which Dr. Khan squared up in his chair and responded “I’m a fucking doctor, don’t you think I know it’s illegal to record someone?” and he continues to raise his voice, get animated yelling “it’s just Dragon dictation (or transcription) software, it just dictates, it doesn’t record” or something along those lines. Despite my pleas and acceptance of the fact that it’s “just dictating”, Dr. Khan continued to get animated.

I have never felt so vulnerable in my life. I’m locked in a room with an irate doctor, who’s cussing me out literally. I’m wearing paper clothes and ZERO means of defense. Not even my own 2 hands would be able to come to my rescue if this erratic doctor decides to attack me. I seriously felt for my life in the moment. If he attacks and I defend myself, they’re not going to believe that he initiated it. If I just sat there and let him attack me, he would be able to say that I attacked him first and that would be believable given the situation. Either way, I was anticipating getting my ass kicked in that moment because there’s literally nothing I can do!

Luckily through some training and coping mechanism I’ve learn (verbal judo so to speak), I was able to calm the situation simply by agreeing with Dr. Khan until he mellowed out. He called in a witness who had a sheet of paper with her. It was then that I realized that the only way I was going to get out of here was to play ball… or at least let him think I was will to stay another UP TO 20 DAYS!! Wait, what, 20 days, where did that come from? That sheet of paper that the lady brought in was a petition for an additional UP TO 20 DAYS stay, that Dr Khan was going to petition for the next day at my hearing. I went along with it and nodded my head ok. I was then promoted to a level B and allowed to wear my regular clothes. This was a huge morale booster, but now it was a matter of figuring out how to get discharge and out from under this PSYCHOPATH doctor’s thumb.

Wait, why would you call him a psychopath? What is a psychopath? Per Merriam Webster’s dictionary, “a person having an egocentric and antisocial personality marked by a lack of remorse for one’s actions, an absence of empathy for others, and often criminal tendencies”. The paper Dr Khan’s witness had in hand already was in fact the up to 20 day extension petition. In other words, he never had any intent on actually assessing me, he was gonna petition for another 20 days NO MATTER WHAT!! That clearly fits the definition of a psychopath!

Anyways, back to the Dragon software. This software continued to open “on it’s own” so Dr. Khan claims. This continued on for a number of times despite me asking not to be recorded until towards the end of our session, he unplugged the hardware device.

As a software engineer with nearly 30 years of experience, I’m quite familiar with how hardware/software systems work.. I write them! The Dragon software stores encrypted audio next to the transcript file in a .dra extension. This is for the purpose of later reconciliation with the dictated transcript. By virtue of the very nature of the software, this should NOT be used in a VERY SENSITIVE setting such as MEDICAL visits. Forensics can determine if an audio file was in fact accessed, if so, this would indicate that Dr. Khan KNEW that he was committing felonies (in violation of PA’s wireless wiretap law) and yet continued to take advantage of his “mentally ill” patients. This likely defines why he was SO DEFENSIVE when called out on it. It was a like a little child with his hand in the cookie jar for lack of a better analogy. He knows what he was doing was wrong, ignorance isn’t an excuse for the law!

Later that day, I met with my social-worker and 2 of her colleagues (Chris and someone else). There were more questions, more statements of what transpired that were INCORRECT. One thing I let be known, was that I in fact had no intentions of going along with Dr. Khan’s petition, that I was going to fight it. This was a roll of the dice since if I lost my hearing and had to stay, that psychopath would have fucked with me and kept me as long as humanly possible. But if I win, I get my freedom back. Just breathe I would tell myself, keep calm.

The Hearing

Fast-forward to September 9th, 2025. I am summoned for my hearing before the judge (for lack of a better term). I was escorted to a small room by a security guard and nurse with a laptop, the door clicked locked behind me. There was no furniture in this small space, just 3 doors that looked like “cells”. That’s right, they were getting ready to shove me in to a cell likely depending on my reaction to the outcome. Makes sense, but traumatizing none-the-less.

The hearing went as a normal court hearing with the Wellspan lawyer examining witnesses. Dr. Khan really showed that he belongs on the JV squad. For example, he couldn’t even get straight the the dosage for a given medication claiming I was prescribed the medicine “9 times a day”, when in-fact it is “3 pills, 3 times a day”. You know what the Dr then said? “It’s still 9 pills”. Yes, those words came out of Dr. Khan’s mouth, that prescribes psychiatric medicine to patients. WOW! No matter how many times I tried to correct some of the facts of the case, Dr. Khan and the Wellspan lawyer continued to quote currently INCORRECT statements (ie, quantity of meds taken), because they fit the narrative they were pushing.

Long-story short, we won the hearing and I was “discharged”. We, my lawyer and I? No, my spouse was a rock star testifying on my behalf and also outwitted and out-smarted Dr. Khan, the Wellspan lawyer and their money making machine.

Well Dr. Khan, it was a fun war of wits, but in the end you got played, outsmarted and you’re going to experience the loss of freedom you love to put people through without a fair assessment. Enjoy prison!

The Police and Lebanon County District Attorney’s office

The Lebanon County District Attorney’s office was contacted regarding the violation(s) of PA wireless wiretap law. They stated that since there is a Police Dept in that jurisdiction, I would have to reach out to them first.

I reached out to Cornwall Borough Police Department and spoke with Ofc. Itzen and he tooks down the details and indicated that he would forward this information to his Sergeant, Sgt. Conklin. An investigation is to ensue.

So Now What

So now I pursue legal action against Wellspan in civil court due to violations of my civil rights by at least one of their doctors. Hell, if this is widespread and been going on for a while, we could be looking at a class action lawsuit against Wellspan.

Obese Dr. Goger, Will Sasso look-a-like and resident of Dr. Putnam at the York Hospital, laughed at the fact that he was taking one’s freedom away, a complaint has been filed for Dr. Goger as well.

What about the media?

We’ll contact them when the time is right. I’m sure they’re gonna love to hear about a Wellspan psychiatrist audio recording his patient’s session.
